Every center needs digital check-in and check-out in place by then. There are several ways to satisfy it, and some are cheaper than this one. If all you need is the box ticked, buy the cheapest thing that ticks it.
The question worth asking is what you want the system to do for the rest of the year, once the deadline has passed and it is simply how your front desk runs.
The one thing to understand
Three states, not two
Most systems track arrived and left. That loses the child who has finished their work and is waiting to be collected. That child is still in your building and still your responsibility.

Privacy
What we never ask for, and never hold
This is a database of children’s names, birthdays and parents’ phone numbers. The safest data is the data a vendor never has.
- Your K-SIS password
- We never ask for it. The roster sync runs inside your own browser, on the K-SIS session you are already signed in to. There is no login form anywhere, and nothing to store. If a sync runs on somebody else’s servers, somebody else is holding a Kumon login.
- Names and phone numbers
- Encrypted field by field inside the database, not merely on the disk underneath it.
- The QR stickers
- A sticker carries a meaningless code. Found on the floor, it tells a stranger nothing about the child it belongs to.
- Notes and old records
- Class notes delete themselves on a schedule you set. A withdrawn student’s personal details are purged after two years, while the attendance record stays.
- Parent contact
- Emails to parents open in your own mail program. They are never sent from our servers.
- Texting consent
- Texting stays switched off until you confirm you have consent. It is your record and your decision; we do not text anybody on your behalf before then.

K-SIS file import and live sync are both in the core plan, at either size. Texting is priced separately because it is the one part that carries a cost every month from the phone companies. The $20 covers our side of it: setup, the message templates, delivery tracking, the consent records and the carrier paperwork. The carriers’ own per-message and registration charges are passed through at cost, against a monthly ceiling you set. Prices shown here are current, and reviewed once a year.
